Hen Party Weekends

Are you getting married and looking for something a bit different for a hen party? Brides-to-be and their friends can make their own jewellery for the big day!

You can now book a day or two at the Mid Cornwall School of Jewellery and make contemporary fashion jewellery to wear on your wedding day. Kate Robinson and her friends (pictured right) did just that.

Not content with the usual round of eating, drinking and spa treatments, they decided to get together and make tiaras, necklaces, hair slides, bracelets and earrings to go with their wedding outfits.

Under the experienced eye of the tutor, tiara-designer Sarah Drew, Kate and her friends spent a day at the Mid Cornwall School of Jewellery creating bespoke pieces to wear on her special day.

Kate and her friends could have a go at basic jewellery skills
in the morning and then Sarah helped them design and make their own jewellery in the afternoon. All the pieces were finished by the end of day, ready to take home.

Kate said “We all had a great day. The school is really well equipped and in a most beautiful setting. Sarah is very competent and made the whole experience fun and constructive. I thought I would be slightly daunted by it but Sarah put us at ease. Even as complete beginners we all came away with finished pieces that we want to wear”

Things to consider before booking this course...

This course is suitable for complete beginners.

The cost of a day in the workshop for you and your friends is £50 a head with a minimum of six people. This includes exclusive use of the workshop and one of our experienced tutors, basic practice materials and all the tea and coffee you can drink! Once you've had a good practice, you can design your pieces and there will be a small charge for your materials. This will depend on your designs and the average cost per person in £10. For this you can make several pieces with beads, crystals and pearls.
