Photo Etching for Jewellers Class

This is a two day class.

This class will enable you to produce several pieces, etched with your own images, patterns and artwork, for use throughout your regular jewellery classes.

The technique of photo etching using a light sensitive resist will enable you to produce both intaglio and relief etching of a depth and accuracy which is not possible by other more ‘low tech’ methods.

Artwork for reproduction must be a clear, black and white image with absolutely no shades of grey.

This technique is particularly useful for batch or unit production where the same design is reproduced many times, and for enamellers using the champleve technique.

Your tutor for this class will be Felicity Denby.
