The Workshop at the High Cross Street Site
2001 - 2004
This was the original website information about the Mid Cornwall Jewellery School when it was located at High Cross Street in St Austell.

The school environment
is something of a work of art in itself. There is a strong
use of colour creating a definite 'wow factor' without being intimidating.

ENTRY AREAThe original building lends itself well to a natural separation of working areas by having a layout of varying levels of height, yet it still remains 'open-plan' The 'Entry Area' with tea & coffee making facilities, coat storage, library, dining table and jewellery display cases |
ENTRY AREAThere are plenty of books and a whole box full of postcard sized jewellery images for those times when the 'artistic flow' is blocked & we need inspiration. Jewellery on display can also help to generate ideas. |

Even the loo has had the artistic treatment, so a visit here can be inspiring too! Safety is a high priority and our responsibility towards students is taken very seriously. Safety equipment includes; fire extinguishers, fire blankets, shatterproof goggles, dust masks, ear defenders, first aid kit. All students are given safety information leaflets & careful instruction during their first lesson. |
