Qualifications I have

I am a keen observer and passionate about art and learning. I enjoy the process of making and of sharing. Put those together and teaching seems to come natural. I love seeing students progress in their work, learn new techniques and hopefully make a breakthrough. It is what motivates me.

Designer, art director, business owner, dresser, fashion stylist, ice cream sundae maker, egg decorator, Star Trek fan ( I still am) , Martha Stewart Design Advisory Committee member, dance school front desk clerk, glee club/show choir member, wallpaper showroom sales person and baby sitter.

 

 

 

 

People I am now

Gardener, museum goer, modern art lover, foodie, design aficionado, wine drinker, champagne fanatic, dog owner, cat owner, mentor,  lover, care taker and friend. Oh yes, and I make and teach people about jewelry.

 

 

Patrik has been in the design and fashion industry for over 20 years. He has taught PMC classes and held workshops around the USA including the first ever PMC workshop at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. His work has appeared in numerous publications including Art Jewelry, Lapidary Journal, MJSA, and various books such as CeCe Wire's New Directions in Metal Clay: 25 Creative Jewelry Projects, the 2007 PMC Guild Annual and 500 Pendants and Lockets.

In addition he has appeared on HGTVs "That's Clever" television show. He has written numerous online tutorials and written articles for Art Jewelry Magazine, Metal Clay Artist Magazine and is the author of his first book Woodland Chic: Metal Clay Jewelry as Nature Intended. He is a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths, American Craft Council and the PMC Guild. Patrik also won 1st place in the PMC category of the Saul Bell Design Awards in 2007. He is one of nine Rio Rewards Senior Instructors that teach the Rio Rewards Certification Program.
