Art Clay Level 2 Certification
This is a four day class.
Following the curriculum outlined by Aida Chemicals who manufacture Art Clay, you will complete a number of advanced projects during this intense four day course. The course builds on the skills you gained at Level 1 and introduces more techniques.
PLEASE NOTE, THERE MUST BE AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BETWEEN THE LEVEL 1 AND LEVEL 2 COURSES. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FROM THE ART CLAY GUILD. IF THERE IS LESS THAN SIX MONTHS BETWEEN THEM, YOUR LEVEL 2 DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE VALID.
You'll learn how to add gold to your work using Keum Boo and gold paste, working with glass and bezel setting delicate stones.
Once you have successfully completed the projects on the course, you're required to complete three further certification pieces to exact specifications in your own time. These must be submitted to the Art Clay Guild within 60 days of completing the course, together with proof you own a kiln.
On successful completion of the three projects, you will receive the Instructor Certification from the Art Clay Guild which will permit you to teach the Level 1 and 2 certifications.
You will also be eligible for a discount on Art Clay from the suppliers in the UK. This discount can vary depending on the supplier but should be around 30%.
Things to consider before booking this course...
This course is only open to people who have completed the Art Clay Level 1 Certification. PLEASE NOTE, THERE MUST BE AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BETWEEN THE LEVEL 1 AND LEVEL 2 COURSES. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FROM THE ART CLAY GUILD. IF THERE IS LESS THAN SIX MONTHS BETWEEN THEM, YOUR LEVEL 2 DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE VALID.
The course cost includes all materials and full project and technique notes.
This course is also a step on the route to gaining the Higher Metal Clay Diploma.
