Easy Payment Options

More people are taking advantage of our easy payment options than ever before and we're happy to provide this service to help you achieve your creative goals. If you'd like to pay for your classes by installments we can set this up for you.

Anyone booking classes costing over £100 can pay by installments. You can pay for a single class or a group of classes, the choice is yours.

An initial non-refundable deposit of £100 per class guarantees your place, then you can pay a monthly amount by cheque or card. Your class should be fully paid for a month before it runs, and on payment of the final installment, you'll receive joining instructions.

Class Levels

Level 1

Level 1 classes are suitable for total beginners or for those who have some experience and want more time in the workshop to explore
Level 2 Level 2 classes are for those who have some previous silverwork experience including soldering or metal clay experience for instance, a Metal Clay for Fun class or any metal clay related class would be sufficient experience to attend Level 2 classes.

Level 3

 Level 3 classes are advanced classes for students with lots of experience

When you use our online booking system you will get an email confirming your booking within a few minutes of paying. Please make sure you
read our cancellation policy before booking.

If you don't receive this email, please check your spam blocker or call the school. Also, please double check that the dates you wanted are confirmed in the email. If there are any problems, please call the school and we'll be

General Information about our classes and courses

All our classes run from 10am until 5pm with an hour for lunch. The school is based near St Austell in Cornwall, UK and all classes run there.

We are always happy to hear your suggestions for additional courses, please contact us and we'll see what we can do!

Classes fill up quickly so please book early to avoid disappointment.

None of our courses are residential and we strongly recommend that you arrange accommodation before you come to Cornwall, especially in the Summer months. There are lots of lovely places to stay in St Austell or Fowey which is very close to the school. Tourist Information will be able to help you to make arrangements and you can call them on on 01726 879500 or 01726 833616. You can also find some places to stay on our accommodation page.

Please take note of our cancellation policy. To book any of our courses, click on this link to our secure booking website. We can also take credit card bookings over the phone or you can call or email us to check availability and then send us a cheque with your booking form. Please make cheques payable to MCSJ.

The school is a non-smoking environment. Smokers can smoke outside, we have picnic tables on the patio.

We are currently not wheelchair accessible and students with disabilities should enquire about the suitability of the courses prior to attending.

How about buying a voucher for one of our courses? It makes a great birthday or Christmas present, click here to go to our online system and
buy a voucher or call us if you want to buy a cash voucher for someone to spend on a course of their choice. Or you can email or call us to discuss your requirements.

Looking for a unique event for a special birthday party? We can cater for groups of six people at a time, and children must be aged 10 or over. The birthday group can spend the day making silver jewellery to keep. We can usually finish a couple of nice pieces of jewellery in just one day, even with no prior experience. These days are safe, fun, affordable and a very unique party idea. We can also take digital photos of the young silversmiths at work so you have a photographic record of the special day.
