Introduction to Bronzclay™

This is a two day class.

In this weekend workshop, you’ll learn the basics of working with the newest addition to the metal clay family.

We will explore texturing, working with molds, gem setting, hollow form construction and more.

Firing, finishing and patinas will be demonstrated and discussed.

One of the unique qualities of Bronzclay™ is that it remains truly flexible when dry, allowing for a wide range of forming, carving and sculpting techniques.

Learn how BronzClay™ is similar to PMC®, how it differs, and how to approach combining the two.

Things to consider before booking this course...

This course is suitable for beginners. Please note, in order to work with Bronzclay™ when you return home you need access to a kiln, it cannot be fired by torch.

Bronzclay™ is a new material and there is still much debate and experimentation going on around the world about how to work with it. The material can be unpredictable so expect some happy accidents and things that didn't quite work. Approach this class with an attitude of exploration and experimentation and you won't be disappointed.

It's also super messy so please come dressed to get dirty!

It will be particularly relevant to anyone undertaking the Metal Clay Master's Registry.
