Polymer Clay Excellence Week with Lisa Pavelka
23rd - 27th September 2013
Cost: £840 including VAT and all materials
This is a five day Master Class.
This week is an incredible opportunity to achieve a high degree of competency in various techniques for polymer clay. For those who work with metal clay, students will learn secrets that will stretch their metal clay investment.
Each day will feature a different technique taught by world renowned polymer clay and mixed media artist Lisa Pavelka.
Subject areas covered will include:
- Mold Making for Metal and Polymer Clay Design
- Extrusion Caning for Bezels and Frames
- Faux Finishes for Polymer Clay Accents
- Millefiori Cane Designs for Metal Clay Frames and Bezels
- Image Transfers for Metal Clay Frames and Bezels

Concepts for veneer work with strength and lightness, but without the excessive cost of creating in metal clay will be gained, making the medium more economical.
Techniques for polymer clay as it relates to metal clay will be taught with applications that are both decorative and purely functional. The vast number of techniques and design concepts that will be learned will take your creativity to the next level.

This is a rare opportunity to gain a significantly enhanced skill set in a short amount of time. Participants will leave with an understanding of how to design with the methods learned, both as stand-alone techniques and in combination with one another for endless creative possibilities.
An emphasis on mixed media design will be featured in several of the sessions. The millefiori caning session will take the intimidation factor out of making complex looking canes that don't require exhaustive amounts of time or a great deal of experience.
Students will leave with increased confidence in their creative abilities. No tip or trick will be spared!
