Open Workshop
Come and spend a day or an evening in our well equipped, purpose build workshop and work on your own projects. We have eight jewellers benches and a wide range of tools and equipment including a motorised polisher with powerful extractor hood, pendant drill and dremmel drill, a wide variety of hammers, flat plates, doming block, draw plates, various punches, triblets, mandrels and ring sizers.
We have a rolling mill, a tumble polisher, pillar drills and four soldering stations. We also have a number of Paragon kilns and an enamelling kiln.
No teaching will be done on these sessions but there will be someone there to assist you in using equipment safely.
We normally have a supply of sheet sterling and copper, sterling wire in various sizes and metal clay. If we have it in stock, you can buy it from us but we advise you to bring your own materials.
Tea and coffee will be supplied.
Things to consider before booking this open workshop...
No teaching will be available, only someone to help you to use any equipment you are unfamiliar with. To get the most from your time, come prepared to work on your project. If you need any special equipment that isn't listed above, please call us to ask if it's available before booking. All new attendees will have a safety briefing before being allowed to use the equipment.
PLEASE NOTE: NO OPEN TOED SHOES ARE ALLOWED IN OUR WORKSHOP FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. PLEASE COME DRESSED APPROPRIATELY AND AVOID FLAMMABLE FABRICS. THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL WORKING ENVIRONMENT. NO CHILDREN ARE ALLOWED IN THE WORKSHOP.
